Yesterday, Bethesda decided to tease a Fallout announcement in the form of a live-stream on twitch.
There was a lot of speculation as to what this new Fallout game could be, there were those who thought it was a remaster of Fallout 3 as it is its 10 year anniversary. There were others like myself who were hoping for a New Vegas sequel. But instead, in typical Bethesda fashion, a new entry in the series was announced in the form of Fallout 76. The trailer literally gives nothing away in terms of gameplay, but it does state that “In Vault 76, our future begins.”
For those that are unaware or new to the Fallout series, the Vaults were created with the intent of being used as social experiments. There were never meant to save anyone. The trailer for Vault 76 shows a celebrations of sorts being staged which may lead to speculation regarding the purpose of the vault. It might be the one vault in which its true intent was to build for the future.
There is currently no release date, but if Fallout 4’s announcement was any indication, this might be coming at the end of the year. Get your Pip-Boys ready.
